As an experienced healthcare professional, you are in demand! Traveling healthcare allows you to tour the country, network with healthcare professionals like yourself and develop new clinical skill sets all within a 13-week assignment. At signature Healthcare you will be given the opportunity to make a great income, receive private housing and take advantage of great benefits and retirement programs.

Why Signature Healthcare?

Great Rates.
Hourly pay rates vary from assignment to assignment depending on your specialty, the hospital you choose, the State and your personal housing requirements.  Northern California’s pay rates are currently amongst the highest in the country.  Our pay rates are based on each hospitals individual rate, which varies significantly.  When a hospital is willing to pay more, we always pass that on to our nurses.  Offering our nurses great rates help us recruit new healthcare professionals and retain our dedicated employees.

Day 1 Benefits.
Our health insurance is a PPO United Health Care plan that can be used anywhere in the country.  Coverage begins the first day of your assignment, if you choose our plan.  Because this is a group insurance plan, there is no waiting period or pre-screenings.  Our plans do require that you pay for a small portion of your coverage.  Your contribution is determined by your age.  Average weekly payroll deductions range from $25.00 to $89.00.  Coverage is available for dependents and families.
Flexible Housing Options.
We offer three different housing options – choice the one that suits your personal needs.
1.)   Our traditional housing package offers a PRIVATE and FULLY FURNISHED one bedroom apartment.  There are no housing deductions or hidden fees.  All of the apartments are totally furnished with a separate kitchen, bedroom and living room.  All of the apartments include an assortment of kitchen appliances such as pans, toaster, microwave oven, coffee pot, silverware, dishes, TV with basic cable, telephone, vacuum, all linens such as sheets, towels, bathroom and kitchen rugs and everything that we could think of that you might need.  We have provided all the essentials to make your stay away from home comfortable.   Most of the units have washers and dryers and many offer a rec room and swimming pool.
2.)   If you choose our smaller more efficient package, you will be paid a higher hourly wage, generally $1.25 - $1.75 more per hour.   For this housing package we secure a FULLY FURNISHED and PRIVATE room, usually in a Marriott or Homestead Suites.  These have weekly maid services, gyms and swimming pools.
3.)   Our housing stipend is offered if you choose to secure your own housing arrangements.  We will pay you a separate TAX FREE housing stipend to cover your expenses.  Housing stipends vary depending on the State you are working in.  Average stipends range from $1,100 – $2,000 per month.  Stipends are paid weekly.
If you are traveling with your family and require a larger apartment, we can provide these but there will be an additional weekly payroll deduction.

Tax Advantages.
If you choose to secure your own living arrangements we will provide you with a determined taxable hourly rate in addition to a tax-free hourly stipend.  Please note that stipends are directed by the federal government and not Signature Healthcare.

Signature Healthcare requires that you have a minimum of 1 year recent experience (within 3 years) within your area of specialty. You'll also be required to submit appropriate certifications depending on your area of specialty and valid licensure when traveling to certain states. Our recruiters will help assist you with the necessary paperwork and we'll reimburse you with fees associated with state licensing after you accept an assignment.
Okay, so you have the clinical know-how, licensure and the desire to travel, but it takes a little more to be a successful traveling healthcare professional. You should posses the following characteristics to ensure a positive experience:

Travel nursing, allied healthcare and physicians means a lot of paperwork. You will need to keep all important documents in an organizer or filing system when you travel. Here are some suggestions to help stay organized while you're away from home.
